Naia Cucukov is a visionary producer and executive with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. As Co-Founder of Working Barn Productions, she brings a dynamic, innovative, and conscientious approach to storytelling, focusing on inclusive, uplifting, and inspiring film and television projects.
A proud New Jersey native, Naia’s passion for storytelling led her to pursue a B.A. in Modern Culture and Media at Brown University, where her affinity for production first took root. Starting her career at CAA and Legendary Pictures, Naia progressed through roles at Bold Films and Virgin Produced, earning her reputation as a skilled creative executive.
During her decade-long tenure at Walden Media, Naia oversaw an impressive slate of acclaimed films and series, including The Giver, Everest, The BFG, and Wonder. Her efforts earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's and Family Viewing Series for Netflix's The Baby-Sitters Club, solidifying her as a trailblazer in the field. She has also collaborated with industry leaders like Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks on impactful projects like A Dog’s Purpose, Finch, and Rumble, exemplifying her commitment to high-impact storytelling.
Naia's creative pursuits continue through her co-founding of Working Barn Productions and 100 Tigers with writer/director Adele Lim. These ventures are dedicated to developing cross-cultural, female-forward content that captivates global audiences.
Beyond her professional achievements, Naia advocates passionately for representation and equity in entertainment as Vice Chair of CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) and as a founder of the AAPI female empowerment group, A+. She is also an active member of the Television Academy, the PGA, and Women in Film.
When she’s not reshaping the entertainment landscape, Naia enjoys spending time with her husband Peter, children Anya and Hero, and their beloved miniature dachshund, Sharky.
